What is Moulis-en-Médoc?
Moulis-en-Médoc or Moulis is a communal appellation of Bordeaux wine region, located on the left bank of the Garonne in the Haut-Médoc area.
The appellation only produces red wines, from six authorised grape varieties: merlot and cabernet sauvignon are the two predominant grape varieties, and cabernet franc, malbec, petit verdot and carménère are also found.
The climate is moderate maritime. The Gironde estuary brings humidity, coming from the Atlantic Ocean, which also moderates temperatures.
