More on Central Greece wine region
The wine region of Central Greece is located to the east of the Pindus and Agrafa mountain ranges, which cross mainland Greece from north to south.
The climate is hot mediterranean (hot and dry summer, rain in winter, low continentality, average temperature over 21°C during the vine growing season).
The region is hilly, and the best vineyards are planted at altitude to take advantage of freshness brought by the elevation.
